The Beauty of Freedom: How a Family, a Flag, and a Jar of Tallow Became a Mission

Welcome to Balm & Banner, the official blog of The Beauty of Freedom—a family-run, American-made skincare company born from faith, tradition, and the desire to return to what matters.

We’re a husband-and-wife team based in Pennsylvania, raising two kids and one loyal dog while handcrafting every jar of our whipped tallow balm right from our home. What started as a kitchen experiment to heal our own skin quickly turned into a mission: to give others access to simple, honest skincare that reflects our values—without compromise.

We believe that freedom isn’t just a flag we fly—it’s a way of life. It’s the freedom to make your own, to live without dependence on harmful chemicals, to teach your children about craftsmanship, and to treat your skin with the same care and intention you give to the rest of your life. That belief lives in every jar we pour.

Our balms are made from 100% grass-fed, grass-finished beef tallow sourced here in the USA, blended with carefully chosen organic oils like frankincense, black cumin seed, and magnesium chloride for hardworking feet. Every batch is whipped by hand, not mass-produced by machines. And while the industry floods shelves with synthetic seed oils and fragrances, we keep it real—because you deserve better.

But The Beauty of Freedom isn’t just about what’s in the balm—it’s about what’s behind it. Our brand is built on conservative American values: faith, family, tradition, and honest work. We believe in small businesses, homemade goods, and doing things the right way—not the easy way.

So whether you found us looking for relief from dry skin, a clean product you can trust on your baby, or simply something that aligns with your values—you’re in the right place. Through this blog, we’ll share more about our process, our ingredients, our journey, and the people who inspire us.

Thank you for being here from the start.

With gratitude,

The Beauty of Freedom Family 🇺🇸
